Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah

Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah is private K-12 Modern English Medium School. The school caters to 2000 students from more than 16 different nationalities, with 100 full time teaching staff and 26 non-teaching staff.

The school was founded in 1979 and is currently managed by the Indian Association. It is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Classes are taught in English. Additional languages can also be taken in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Bengali or French. Core subjects also include Islamic Studies for Muslim students and Moral Studies for non-Muslim students. Extra-curricular activities include several clubs run by staff such as elocution, recitation, essay-writing, drama, debate, athletics, art, music, photography, science as well as a variety of sports.

Facilities of the school include a library, a number of science laboratories (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), computer laboratories, a first aid centre with a permanent doctor and nurse and book store.

At the time of this review, the school’s Web site was not functioning.
