Ajman Ruler Sets-Up New Education Authority

Last month, the Emirate of Ajman announced the establishment of an education body to improve the standard of private education in the Emirate.

His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, issued a decree establishing the Emirate’s own Ajman Knowledge and Human Development Authority (AKHDA).

According to Gulf News, the public authority’s objectives, “will be to improve the standard of private education within an advanced creative environment, which will be achieved by setting up and managing private model schools in and outside the emirate.”

“The authority will coordinate with federal bodies specialised in education policies, and work with them in organising initiatives and drawing up plans that serve human development in the UAE in general, and Ajman in particular.”

Further details on the decree will be published in the Official Gazette and circulated to the authorities.
